That's what I said to,...good grief!
But,...there's 9 boxes of it at 100 pounds a box. Unfortunately, the fellow doesn't want to sell piece-meal. All or nothing. He's tired of dealing with trying to get rid of it. And he wants the room in his shop back.
He is the owner of Hallmark Cabinetry & Millwork, near Olmos and San Pedro. He is storing the leather at his business. This is only a 1 mile from where I live.
He got the leather from a upholstery shop downtown that went out of business. I saw the boxes and the leather in one of the boxes. Looked great. Just like the stuff at leather factory. And other that a lot of dust on the boxes, but they looked new.
He's also got three Consew sewing machines,...but, I didn't get a price because I wasn't interested. The sewing machines looked ok, but really used. He have one that "walks", "straight",...and he even has a "serger".
The boxes of leather are the size of washing machines. So, pick up and storage would be a factor at you house. But, again,...the guy really wants to get rid of them all. If I knew of 9 people who would be interested,.... $450, means $50 a box. Its scrap, so no two pieces are alike.
It seems like a good deal, but I don't know who could use 900 pounds of leather. (And no,...you guys aren't storing the stuff at my house.)
If you have any questions, please email me. And I'll get back with him.
I'm just putting the info out.
